Working as a team.
Some of Caitlin's best work has come from collaboration with others. As an undergraduate, she was a student intern for several projects, including a recent grant project doing research in an archive.
"The Power of the Voice and the Agency of Citizenship"
Caitlin worked for her final semester as a student intern for the CIC International Poetry Forum grant project at Carlow University. The 2021-22 project is a student-led exhibition and public programming project that features the International Poetry Forum (IPF) archive.
She did hands-on research in the archive, interviewed the founder of the IPF, and created a documentary-style video for the exhibition and archive.
The Carlow Chronicle
Caitlin worked as a writer and editor on her university's student newspaper for just months before taking the role of Editor-in-Chief for the 2020-2021 academic year. During that year, she led a team of student writers, edited and posted ~45 articles to their WordPress site, CarlowChronicle.com, and improved site views by 85%. Check out the site to see Caitlin's editing expertise on every article posted from August 2020 to May 2021, and to read about her interview with U.S. Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib.
The Critical Point
During her sophomore year, Caitlin interned for Carlow University's art and literary journal, The Critical Point. This student-led journal features the best submissions from students in poetry, critical writing, creative writing, and art. Caitlin judged ~100 submissions and worked with a team to create the 2020 journal, despite the pandemic and working remotely for the majority of the semester.
